I travel by airplane, train, bus, tram, rental car, taxi, boat … and usually stay in 3-5 stars hotels or apartments.

Any airline with the best price at Google Travel and many smartphone apps.
- I don't have one travel plan, I have many. First I check the cost of the ticket, then the timetable and the weather at the destination.
- And almost always one-way tickets.

- I never book any tickets long in advance. Often the same day or just 1-5 days before.
- Sometimes at the train station, just before the train leaves. But avoid buying on the train, it will cost more and may come with a fine too.

- A pleasant train journey along the beautiful Douro River.

- Pay full rental car insurance. Otherwise, you will most likely have to pay extra when you return the car.
